Youtube Music questions & answers
Not even one second of footage of the tv show without either the audio being turned off or music playing in the background. Why is there videos of other shows like ed edd and eddy and fairly odd parents but no avatar. Why! Why are (at least) adequate quality Avatar shows so hard to find on YouTube?
Answer: 1) try here http://www.digavatar.com/ 2) because since the people who are uploading the videos are not profesionals, some of the videos are not the best. Yyou just have to watch the episodes that different people upload to find someone who has good quality videos.

What is your opinion in regards to Rob Dougan?
In case you aren't quite acquainted with Rob Dougan, he's known as an "Electronic" composer but I think you'd struggle to find an electronic composer that even slightly resembles his style; this is of course because he's often known for fusing Classical Music/instruments with Electronic Music. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQwUkFCr6Lw Of course straight away you can hear Chopin's famous Prelude in E Minor but, for me, it really works throughout the entire instrumental, which kind of revolves around the Prelude theme and the other theme that can be heard at 0:56. In this example, "Clubbed to Death II" and the iconic "Clubbed to Death", I don't think Dougan is aiming to "rip off" Chopin and Elgar; it's more a tribute. Anyway, my main question, seeing as this is being posted in the Classical section, is: Are you happy when two genres are mixed together to create their own piece of Music, or do you think that every genre of Music should stay on its own? Don't worry Grim, I came prepared Ok well, sorry for posting it here. I know you guys are pretty strict here in the Classical Section hehe. I suppose once Classical Music has you, it has you: for life. Listen, I know what you guys mean about pop artists etc. ripping off alot of Classical Musicians, simply because, lets face it, Classical Music endures - it is great Music.
Answer: I enjoy Rob Dougan's music for what it is; electronica. Let's be honest, each sound he produces more than likely comes from keyboards and a mixing desk - not actual instruments. I've just never recognised it as having any connection to Classical, like that cheesy disco song 'A Fifth of Beethoven'. I know what you mean though. It's just my automatic reaction to it. What Rob Dougan has created doesn't bother me at all, nor do I think that genres should never mix. We wouldn't have Led Zeppelin if it weren't for the fusion of blues and rock. Also, I hope you're wearing some sort of protective armour...

Why are s--t bands always more popular than good ones?
Bring Me The Horizon for example, for regular people they are completely unlistenable, but what for the life of me I can't understand is, how did they get popular over all the other bands out there? Put it this way, compare these two songs from BMTH and Decapitated, both from 2006. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWggPLXeOkU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEXsTVr2ez4 and now we'll compare two songs from BMTH and Arsis, both from 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kynUSL8fr_4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKOy2yyVlSA You see what I mean? Maybe BMTH sound heavy, but they pretty much lack any sort of technical skill or song writing ability, and I won't mention the singers voice because I'm trying to be objective here, so yeah, trying to figure this out, why do s--t bands become popular? and obviously I'm not talking mainstream popular, but with kids nowadays getting into heavy music, I have no idea how they pick which bands to listen to. I get what you're saying Helen, but with the comparisons I used, BMTH is actually less catchy than the bands I compared them with, I mean I LIKE catchy riffs and bands that are well produced, that's the confusing thing, the way I figure it Decapitated and Arsis sound far more mainstream and listenable than BMTH does. responding to "there's only one of them that's" yeah I'm more talking bands at the heavier end of the spectrum, so if you listen to pop music or something then this question really isn't for you. what I'm saying is, it's silly to ask someone who thinks black pepper is a bit too spicy to judge a hot curry cook off. All That Remains might have recycled riffs from the mid 90's, but I don't think they deserve to be put in the same class as BMTH, that's going a little far.
Answer: Its because people like shitty music. Bring me the Horizon is terrible and the bands you compared them to are good. When emos try to be metal, we get BMTH, they are simply multiplying faster than we are.

Some song opinions on meanings and emotions?
I'm a singer, pianist, and songwriter and I really want to be famous for personal reasons (Not for being the most popular person, or nice clothes, or money for myself but for charity) plus I want to share my music because music is my passion. The music I write I want to be relatable, because relatable songs are my favorite and pretty much the whole point of songs. That's where I need help. See, most of my songs were written when I was going through such miserable times (losing friends, breakup, adolescence, parents divorce, etc.) and so most of my songs were sad and me expressing my feelings. I have written songs about crushes and happiness, but I want to do write about things that people are like "oh, i totally see what she means" I wish I could post my songs and sing on youtube, but my parents won't let me and also I'm still a tiny bit stage fright (but getting over it) so what are song means that you would like to hear about and relate to? it can be happy, sad or anything you can think of because I think I can work something out. Plus these are suggestions and it may give me ideas because this should come from my heart and songs I actually relate to. so thanks!
Answer: if you wrote a song for my situations and you became famous i would replace you with nevershoutnever lol anyways write about how like 2 best friends and theyre so close but then one moves away, but they still keep in touch. but they can still see all the changes theyve both been goin through but they dont really do anything except try and act like the old "best friend couple" is still the same so then once there reunited again theyre 2 complete strangers end up drifting apart.. and also about how you werent a planned child and you seem to always accidently hear the bad things your mom says about you behind your back and how u feel like your a big mistake and knowing your dad doesnt take the time to call u and the few times he does its always on a new number [figuring he doesnt want u to call back] and hate moving around all the time because you cant help but make great amazing friends you get really close to and end up having to leave them behind my lifes pretty crappy but i follow fall out boy with "the best of us can find happiness in misery" <3
