Answer: What a load of rubbish.
Is it true that most of mainstream christianity's false doctrines originated in ancient Babylon?
Christianity just basically copied pagan Babylonian concepts such as the trinity, hellfire, the immortal soul, and so fourth. I am studying with Jehovah's Witnesses and they have provided me with lot's of biblical and historical proof that most of Christianity is Babylonian like. In a sense that is what the biblical prophecy means when mentioning "Babylon the Great". It is basically world religions like Christianity and the others that mirror what the Babylonian religion used to look like. I am also told that Nimrod was the founder of all false religion. He was also considered a God in Babylon. His father was black and his mother was white. However he had his father killed so he could marry his own mother. This was thus then the first madonna and child in history and it mirrors what is found in roman catholicism. Since according to Catholicism Jesus is God, that would mean, like Nimrod, he is the Husband and Son of Mary at the same time. Just like Nimrod and mother/wife Semiramis.
Answer: Most of Christianity's core teachings can be found in the Old Testament. Next question. Add: By the way, "Babylon" is a term that metaphorically refers to the carnal and sensual world, including materialism, not a specific religion.
What is the history of the sign of the cross?
There is no dispute over the centrality of the Cross in the spirituality and understanding of the Church. The first definitive written records of Christians “making the sign of the Cross” come from the late 2nd and early 3rd centuries. Scholars have long noted that practices/beliefs were assumed and already well in effect (like the Scriptures) by the time they were in written form. The current evidence is that the sign of the Cross was traced with one finger (most likely the thumb) on the forehead (and over the mouth when reading Scripture) and over anyone or anything Christians wished to consecrate. The Cross was traced with the right hand (unless one was disabled, etc.), which itself symbolized intimacy with the Christ “who sits at the right hand of God.” The making the sign of the Cross on one’s forehead corresponds with the ancient cultures of the Scriptures (e.g. Genesis 4; Ezekiel 9). Marks on the forehead conspicuously display and proclaim the spiritual condition or identity of the person as seen and identified by God. Phylacteries (small leather pouches with symbols of the Torah inside them) were worn around the right hand and forehead of the pious Jew. In the New Testament, marks on the forehead or right hand identified people with God or alignment with the antichrist. On the forehead of martyred Christians (Revelation 14 & 22), it symbolized the very Name of God Himself. It was easy to equate making the sign of the Cross on the forehead with the Greek letter “X” (chi - the first letter of the name of Christ in Greek) as it was made with the same gesture. By the 4th century, the sign of the Cross began to be traced by two (the index and middle) fingers. It also reflected how bishops or (beginning with the 4th century) presbyters (when they began to function as priests) blessed others; the classic Roman gesture for public speaking was the two fingers extended. By the 8th century, the two fingers came to symbolize the two natures of Christ and to distinguish Christians in the East under Islamic rule from Muslims who, as some sources from that time show, lifted “one finger when asking Allah for forgiveness.” Evidence from the 8th century shows the shift of tracing the sign of the Cross to over the body in the wake of the Iconoclastic Controversy. In destroying/removing icons from churches, the iconoclasts replaced them with paintings/mosaics of large Crosses (usually a major sized one in the apse of the Altar), a symbol with which all, iconoclasts and iconophiles (lovers of icons), could agree. With no icons in the churches, other symbols (like the making of the sign of the Cross) were greatly magnified by iconoclasts to show that they were not trying to be impious. While Iconoclasm was heretical, the symbol of the Cross was not. After the controversy ended with the Seventh Ecumenical Council (787), iconophiles continued the practice of tracing the sign of the Cross over the body (head to heart to shoulders—right to left, as when traced on the forehead, in both East and West) with the two fingers. By mid 9th century the “three fingers” are replacing the “two finger sign” (though in the East it did not become universal until after the 17th century following the Old Believer Schism in Russia), expanding the focus that through the crucified Jesus we enter communion with the Holy Trinity. In the 13th century in the West, we have the first mention of some who “make the sign of the Cross from the left to the right,” the reasons varying from crossing from misery (left) to glory (right) to mirroring the priest blessing them. Oriental Orthodox Christians (Coptic, Armenian, etc.) cross themselves left to right, seeing the meaning as praying that they not be on the left but on the right of the Judgment Seat (whether this developed independently or as a result of later Western/Latin influence is, as of yet, historically unclear). Later centuries would see the West become universal in not only crossing from left to right but also in changing from using the three fingers to using the whole (open) hand. Regardless of how the Cross was (is) traced in the various traditions, the Church has understood its expression as concretely identifying oneself with the Lord who, through His crucifixion, fully participates in our humanity, which then, as seen in the resurrection-ascension, brings us to organically participate in the life of the Trinity. The Cross symbolizes (“brings together”) God’s organic descent into death and darkness, through which we are given back to Him. It also symbolizes our embracing the spiritual battle within the deserts of our hearts and choosing to see things from the perspective of the God who shows His all-powerful and sovereign Love by giving up control of His very life on the Cross.
Answer: The History of the Cross is well Explained at this Site. The Cross, Preserver of the Universe Saint John of Shanghai IN THE prophet Ezekiel (9:6) it is said that when the Angel of the Lord was sent to punish and destroy the sinning people, it was told him not to strike those on whom the "mark" had been made. In the original text this mark is called "tau," the Hebrew letter corresponding to the letter "T.", which is how in ancient times the cross was made, which then was an instrument of punishment. On Cross on Golgotha, the prince of this world was cast out (John 12:31) and an end was put to his authority. The weapon by which he was crushed became the sign of Christ's victory. The "sign of the Son of Man" (Matt. 24:30), that is, the Cross, will appear in the sky in order to proclaim the end of the present world and the coming of the eternal Kingdom of the Son of God. Then all the tribes of the earth shall weep, because they loved the present age and its lusts, but all who have endured persecution for righteousness and called on the name of the Lord shall rejoice and be glad. The Cross then will save from eternal perdition all who conquered temptations by the Cross, who crucified their flesh with its passions and lusts, and took up their cross and followed their Christ. http://www.monachos.net/forum/showthread.php?1365-Sign-of-the-Cross-crossing-oneself
God and Jesus... are they one entity?
The Bible calls Jesus son of God. Jesus prays to God. Jesus talks to God and calls Him "Father". The Holy Trinity is Father, Son and Holy Spirit (God, Jesus and Holy Spirit), that means God and Jesus are two parts. A friend told me that Hebrews says God and Jesus are like mirrors, which means two parts again, one reflecting the other, equal. Yet, Christians say Jesus is God who came in flesh. They also say Jesus was not created, but has always been. Can someone explain this to me? Are God and Jesus one or not?
Answer: I think so From what I have ascertain... Jesus once said, I am in my Father and my Father in me And from what I heard ...in heaven God the Father whom sits at the throne, Jesus the son walks into God, and then back out, they are two yet one. God leaves all that unlimited power and glory at the throne and walks out as Jesus in body form that we can see, touch, and withstand him. because no one can see God and live, no one can withstand his Glory, power. The Holy spirit is upon the earth, this is God's voice, and God's hand is the church. Like the world has many countries but is one world A state has many cities but is one state God has unlimited power, He is everywhere but is one God I hope this makes sense to you:)
Lies of ahlelbayt.com, Nahjul Balagha, Sermon 126 part 1?
Source: http://www.ahlelbayt.com/articles/shirk/nahjul-balagha The Nahjul Balagha is considered sacred by the Shia, which they consider the most reliable source for the words, sermons, and letters of Ali. Let us examine one of these sermons in particular, which is available on the popular Shia website, Al-Islam.org: Nahjul Balagha, Sermon 126 Ali says:“With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from rightfulness, and he who hates me too much and the hatred takes him away from rightfulness. The best man with regard to me is he who is on the middle course. So be with him and be with the great majority of Muslims because Allah’s hand of protection is on keeping unity. You should beware of division because the one isolated from the group is a prey to Satan just as the one isolated from the flock of sheep is a prey to the wolf. Beware! Whoever calls to this course [of sectarianism], kill him, even though he may be under this headband of mine.” (Source: Al-Islam.org, http://www.al-islam.org/nahjul/126.htm) ______________________________________________ Let us now reflect on the words of Ali, line by line. “With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from rightfulness…” We could not possibly find a better description for the Shia than this. The Shia love Ali so much that they exaggerate and exalt his status to a level of Shirk, thereby going away from rightfulness. The Shia give the names of Allah to Ali, calling him the Living “Ism-i Azam” of Allah, or the Living Supreme Name of Allah. They call Ali the Mazhar Al Aja-ib (The Executor of Wonders) and Mushkil Kusha (the Remover of Hardships) . They exaggerate so much that they call Ali to be the Yadullah (hand of Allah). They call him Asdadullah (unconquerable and ever-overpowering strength of Allah). They say Ali was too powerful for even the angels to stop him, that all the atoms in the world submit to Ali, that Ali is the speaking Quran, and is the Mirror of Allah. Look how loving Ali too much has caused them to exaggerate his status like the Christians did with Jesus, and look how this leads to Shirk. It also leads to going away from rightfulness, such as how the Shia hate the wives and companions of the Prophet. Ali warned the Shia on this matter. And the source is the Shia’s very own Nahjul Balagha. Source: http://www.ahlelbayt.com/articles/shirk/nahjul-balagha _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ With Regard to Mawla Ali (AS), two people will be ruined. The first group would be those who love him so much that takes one away from rightfulness. The author thinks that the Shias, the twelvers Ithna Asharis, make Ali (AS) a god in the name of love. I think people should research before giving comments on any issue. <>How could Ali (AS) know before hand and tell that in the future two groups will be ruined, those who love him too much and those who hate him too much? <>Was this a revelation revealed to Ali (AS)? <>Does the author agree that Ali (AS) had knowledge of the unseen as much as Allah gave him? There must be a group that will be ruined because of their love from him (AS), the Bab ul Ilm or gateway of knowledge as Rasool (SAW) himself has proclaimed, Ali (AS) cannot be wrong. There must be a group who will be ruined because of their excessive love for him (AS) which will take them on the wrong path. The belief in incarnation. The Nusayris believe that Ali is God in the flesh. Ali created Muhammad from his spirit, and Muhammad created Salman, an early Shi'ite saint. These three form a Trinity in which Ali is described as the 'meaning', Muhammad is the 'name' and Salman is the 'door'. http://mb-soft.com/believe/txw/nusayri.htm
Answer: What Imam Ali(as) said fits on Ismailis, the Agha Khanis, the Druze, dunno about the Bohra, they kind of seem ok The ahlelbayt.com guy was doing what wahabis normally do, condemning people by blaming them for things they dont do, but what the Wahabis imagine they do based on rumour and their bigotry
The Bible talks about the Mark of the Beast, and there's a book of the Bible called Mark. Coincidence?
And Marks other name was John, and there are five books in the Bible attributed to John. 5, just like 666, the mark of the beast. Get it? 6+6+6=18. 1+8=9. The difference between 9 and 5 is four, which is a little more than three, the number of the Trinity. So one book by Mark and five books by John, 1+5=6. That's where 666 comes from and if you hold that in a mirror it gives a phone number. Wonder who's? I mean, that makes as much sense as talking snakes and the rapture, doesn't it?
Answer: Here's one for you. Given that the mark of the Beast is 666 and counting 1st and 2nd Maccabees as a single book then the protestant movement removed 6 books from the Bible, leaving 66 books. 6 and 66 put together gives you 666. That would suggest that the Beast is none other than the protestant church, created to lead God's people away from the one true religion of Catholicism and into the arms of a false savior. After all, now you can tailor your church any way YOU want it. There's a Christian religion for every belief system. No longer do you have to change to do the will of God. The will of God will change to match your needs! Just to make it clear, I don't believe anything I just said (except for the fact that religion is being tailored to match people's beliefs so they don't have to change to be religious).
List all the superstitions you know that I didn't list.?
Ones I know are 666: Devil's number 13: Unlucky number 7: lucky number 3: another lucky number; signifies strength because of the Trinity Don't walk under a ladder Don't break a mirror Don't step on a crack If you spill salt throw a pinch over your left shoulder to keep the devil away If you sneeze cover your mouth so your soul doesn't fall out Don't let a black cat cross your path. I don't believe in superstition just want to see the superstitions O I forgot to say a couple more. Put a pair of open scissors under your pillow for good luck and to keep away evil spirits Putting a line of salt across all enterances to your house will stop all evil from coming in. Four leaf clover is good luck If you turn three times in a circle in a dark room lighted by candles and say Bloody Mary the whole time you will call her spirit to you. (Don't know why you'd want to but whatever) O to get rid of your bad luck take a jar and fill it with sharp objects around your house and bury the jar oops sorry the Bloody Mary thing, you have to be doing the circle and name calling and that in front of a mirror. On the third turn she is supposed to appear behind your reflection

Answer: it just has a weaker rhyme scheme then normal...not bad though, its hard to right a 16 much less like a 30 bar one 5/10, weak rhyme, weak flow but concept wise strong as always
Why do the Trinity and the Bible contradict each other?
The 8 points of the Trinity: 1. There is one God (i.e., one proper object of religious devotion). 2. The one God is a single divine being, the LORD (Jehovah, Yahweh). 3. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is God. 4. The Son, Jesus Christ, is God. 5. The Holy Spirit is God. 6. The Father is not the Son. 7. The Father is not the Holy Spirit. 8. The Son is not the Holy Spirit. Point 8 - The Son IS NOT the Spirit The Bible affirms very clearly that Jesus IS the Spirit. In Trinitarian doctrine Jesus is not the Holy Spirit since the Holy Spirit is a separate third person in Trinitarian doctrine. One cannot say that Jesus is the Holy Spirit since that would be saying one person is indeed also another person. However, the Bible clearly affirms the risen Lord Jesus IS the Spirit at 2 Corinthians 3:17. But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted because the veil is removed in Christ. But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but when a person turns to the Lord the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. (2 Corinthians 3:14-4:5). Point 7 - The Father IS NOT the Spirit The Bible affirms very clearly that our Father IS the Spirit. Did the Father of the man Jesus of Nazareth conceive Jesus in the womb of Mary? In Trinitarianism the answer is that he did not. In Trinitarian doctrine, another person altogether conceived the man Jesus of Nazareth and that person is the Holy Spirit, someone who is not the Father in Trinitarianism. In other words, Trinitarians are caught in the serious dilemma of having one person conceiving baby Jesus (the Holy Spirit) but another person being his father (God, the Father of Jesus). It is an absurdity of absurdities. The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35). The honest reader can see that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God the Father who conceived baby Jesus of Nazareth and not a 3rd and separate person who is not the Father. In Trinitarianism, the Holy Spirit is not the Father and they create for themselves here the ridiculous predicament of having one person conceive baby Jesus but Jesus having another person altogether as his father. Absurd. Another clear indication that the Father is the Holy Spirit are parallel statements made by Matthew and Luke: When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." (Luke 12:11-12). But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues; and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (Matthew 10:17-20). The term "Spirit of God" is obviously a term which means "Spirit of God the Father." However, in Trinitarian doctrine, "the Spirit" is not the Spirit of the Father but a 3rd person in addition to the Father and so they must conclude and do conclude that, "the Father is NOT the Spirit." But we have clear Scriptures which show the Father is the Spirit. And again the Trinitarian doctrine is easily proven wrong. Point 4 - The Son, Jesus Christ, is God The Bible clearly affirms the Father alone is God. There are 3 possible ways the statement "Jesus is God" could be disproven. First, we could find a statement in Scripture that insists the Son is NOT God. No such statements exist in Scripture. Of course, no such statement exists that says the Son is not a pumpkin either and this does not give us a license to suggest that he is a pumpkin. Secondly, we can demonstrate that there is no evidence that the Son is "God." Most of the information on this site is devoted to demonstrating this fact and exposing the logical fallacies behind Trinitarian claims on that point and so we will not discuss that particular point here. The third way is to find a statement where someone else claims that he alone is God and only he is God, such as the Father of Jesus. If we were to accept such a statement from God to be true then we must confess the doctrine of the Trinity is false. But does such a statement exist? Yes. Do you thus repay Yahweh, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.... See now that I, I am He, and there is no God besides ME. (Deuteronomy 32:6, 39). Here, the LORD, YHVH, identifies himself as the Father and He declares there is no God besides "ME". He says "there is no Elohim besides "ME." Who is "Me?" The Father has identified himself @Rene: Or maybe instead of just saying **** and I am wrong; you can try to be smart and at least EXPLAIN how the interpretation is wrong? Jesus. How hard is it?
Answer: They contradict each other because the "trinity" IS NOT biblical! GOD IS ONE. ~Galatians 3:20~ O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou ALONE, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth. ~Isaiah 37:16~
