Barter Theatre presents "The Woman in Black"Barter Theatre Abingdon, VA 24210 Adapted by Stephen Mallatratt; Based on the novel by Susan Hill "Will you survive your encounter with the ghost of the woman in black?" The Who questions & answers
I have found that if I left this site for one day, and stopped asking questions, the same old people, ask the same old ignorant questions and get everything wrong, just as usual. Now lets just say that the atheists stopped protesting the Christian ignorance which is clearly implemented in the U.S. because people are so slow to figure out what the Separation of Church and the State really means. If we atheists stopped for one day, they would forget what we said the day earlier. Now lets just say all the atheists left for a year. That is just enough time for Christians to claim that their imaginary friend told them that the Muslims imaginary friend (Allah) thinks god is a pussy, so the Christians and the Muslims kill each other, the kkk and the Al-qaeda duke it out and the Christians would kill the Muslims. If we atheists were still quiet at that time the major religions would say that "atheists are unworthy of freedoms because we don't worship their magic man" and then they would start banning our rights, just like they have done with the gays. They would probably make it to where Christians can't marry atheists. If we atheists remained silent then the religious spread their ignorance. We have to tell the truth otherwise nonsensical bull-**** duplicates itself like some crazed Bunny rabbit. As for YA! if Atheists had left for a day, there would be a number of people who are always wrong posting questions like "Do atheists worship the devil?" Who would be there to challenge them? If we had left they would be left unchallenged. My bad. I can't stop Muslims and Christians from fighting each other, but if we just used a different mindset rather than some stupid religion bullcrap then I don't think much conflict would occur. Crybaby atheists: Well people like you make that environment. If you went away we could actually have an intelligent discussion. So please shut up.
Answer: Letting the religious nutcases run rampant is NOT the answer. That's the lesson we take from the Dark Ages.
Who is the weakest Dragon Ball Z character who can destroy the Earth (eventually - if not instantly)?
Answer: I know a few people would say Krillin. But seriously, yajirobe could destroy it, if he trained man. He used his sword to cut Vegeta's tail off when he was in oozaru form. Why couldn't he train until he could focus his energy enough to hit the center of the earth?
CONTRACT SO BOYFRIEND DON'T GET HALF OF MY STUFF/PROPRETY?
Hi, I just bought my first house and my boyfriend did not sign; therefore the house is in my name only. I will be paying the down payment, mortgage, home insurance, taxes and other things. He will be living with me in my house but I do not want to be Comon Law so if ever we leave each other, he will not take half of my proprety and my things. What should I do in this situation? I am going to see a Notary (I think that the name, sorry im french) the person who I will meet and sign the final papers with the person who are selling the house and that is when I get the keys. Anyway, Should I make a contract of some sort? Mention this to my Notary? He does not change his address? I want this to be MY house and not ours. I bought it myself, it's my mortgage, everything will be under MY name. all the bills will have my nae on them. Anyone has any comments on this ?? I really need help. Thanks I am not living in the house yet, only in November 2010. He will come live there with me but it's my house, so after a year, we will be comon law ? which means, he can have half of my proprety ?
Answer: he cant take whats in your name anyway check with your state laws on living together but to put your mind at ease set up acontract between the two of you of the assets you collected together keep alist of the items and receits so you know what was purcase by whom in case you decide to go different ways , in the contract state that if this happen each can only take what they purchase or brought to the house since being together
Why do some people write 0s instead of Os?
I've noticed this trend lately, both on Yahoo! Answers, and on news websites that let people leave comments. Some people (mostly conspiracy theorists) on the internet write the number 0 in place of the letter O. It is most frequently done in the case of the name Obama (as in "0bama"). But I've noticed it in other words as well. For example, I just saw a question about the "Mas0nic" conspiracy. The only thing in common is that about 95% of the people who do this say things that are completely crazy and/or violent. So, what's up with this? Is it just a trend? Do paranoid people think it just looks cool? Do they all have malfunctioning keyboards? Or is there some sort of hidden meaning behind this?
Answer: They think it's a clever attack. Little do they know that the response is generally either confusion or obliviousness.
Husband received oral sex from a girl in his hometown. I want to leave. got have two young children...?
I have my 3 bags packed in the car. I haven't slept in 2 days and the others...toss and turn. I feel like I should leave and work it out. But on the other hand (for people who have followed my questions) ENOUGH. Right? Emotionally and physically I can take no more.
Answer: You should do what you think is right. What I would do is leave. I would take my kids and leave so that he would realize the severity of what he has done. If he wants you back he will have to earn back the trust first.
How old do you have to be to drop out of school in TX without G.E.D?
No, I'm not saying that I'm considering dropping out. Can't a person just be curious? Please don't give any comments like "High school drop outs are just a waste of life" or whatever. If that's the case, I'm not asking you, only those who are willing to tell me the age and not be a total nuisance....
Answer: In Texas as in most states, the age at which one can drop out of school is sixteen; however, in all states, you must have the approval of your parents. You must also have a job, be living independently from your parents, and be capable of taking care of yourself. What happens however, for most students at that age, is a wipe-out because it takes skills that a sixteen year old does have. Then, there is the problem of job hunting, a fast food server, a paper boy, a gopher (go for anything) does not earn enough money to pay the rent, buy food, or get transportation to get to work. I would think that is a nearly impossible task without becoming a criminal. Good luck.
Who was the last person that touched you...*?
Answer: Myself
What the hell is up with this?
Today I saw two brown haired brown eyed guys beat the hell out of each other. What is it with people beating on others who have similar traits to one another? Its like how black people sometimes beat on each other. Ever noticed this?
Answer: because there is more to what they were fighting over than how similar they may have looked? you sound shallow...
Is my prologue any good?
I wrote this a bit ago, please let me know what you think. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The night sky could hardly be considered dark; dozens of flickering stars dotted the deep navy expanse. “Supper, your Majesty!” the errand boy called from the doorway. His clothes were tattered, skin scuffed and hair matted, but you couldn’t have anticipated the cheek-to-cheek smile that stretched across his face, eyes alight. After a few moments of no response the boys face dropped a bit, and he peered into the open home. His Majesty was usually waiting, patient and serene, impeccably dressed and sitting deadly still. I’ll go find the Prince; the boy thought a tad nervously, he’ll know where his Majesty is. The trees were hanging low with full blossoms. And beneath a particular tree stood a handsome boy, whom was no older than twelve, and whose face still held some of his boyish charm. Still, his black curls and intelligent green eyes were far from childish. The errand boy continued scurrying about, and at the tender age of six didn’t think to look into the looming blossoms. The Prince flattened himself against the tree’s rough trunk as he strangled his laughter the best he could, and watched his family’s pathetic little servant search frantically for him. Even if he was just six, did he not think to look behind the thick curtains of flowers? A sudden movement and sharp squeal caught the Prince’s attention. What was that? He peered out from behind his hiding spot and caught sight a man, three times his size and dressed in long, black robes. He held an over-sized glove over the errand boy’s mouth, and a sickening grin pulled at the masked man’s lips. The child flailed; eyes wide and teary. The criminal quickly tossed the boy over his shoulder, and dashed towards the palace’s gates. “Wait!” The Prince called as he stumbled forward, but only tripped on his own feet, “Come back!” He sighed, and fell against the dirty path, ignoring the voice in his head that told him how displeased his mother would be, and groaned into his outstretched hands. The Prince just knew that somehow he would be blamed for this. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Thank you! :) I might take you criticism seriously if you could spell. >.>
Answer: I don't know what these people are talking about - I thought it was very good! You were subtle, didn't give away the whole story initially, and had just the right amount of suspense. I already want to know so many things - what era is this? Where's his Majesty? Why is the Prince so rebellious? Who is the man? It's all really pulled together and complete. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Prince's reaction - he just saw a 6-year old being carted off by a possible murderer and he's thinking about himself? Unless you're intending for him to be selfish, you could probably revise that. Other than that I am honestly keen for more.
Would you be with a man that admits to beating up his ex?
My boyfriend admitted to me that he has gotten into a domestic dispute before with the mother of his children. He explained it to me in detail. Please read the details and tell me if you think this man is someone I should get rid of: He was 19 years old (now 37). He had left his gf in the house while he and a friend went to push his car to the shop. At his house was a Valentines Day card from a young girl that liked him (he worked at a local roller skating rink & had "fans". The card was written in Spanish and said "Te amo mi amore" (sp). His ex understood Spanish and was angry. When he got home from pushing the car she jumped in his face. He asked her to leave, then went to the restroom. He walked out and she hit him in his eye. He says it was a reaction, but he punched her back with a left and a right. She fell, and before he knew it she grabbed a hand full of his crotch & started squeezing. He said he punched her repeatedly in her head until she let go. Once she let go, he told her to get out of his apartment, and she grabbed his crotch again...he started hitting her in the head again and eventually she stopped. He said he then went back into the bathroom to tend to his scratches. That's when he heard his friend yell "She has a butcher knife". He came out the bathroom, and fought her...beating her head against a wall until she dropped the knife. He then forcibly removed her from his house and locked the door. My boyfriend said that she called her parents and they took her to the hospital and had to have stitches in her head. He also said that the law in California was different. He says that before the OJ trial, whomever was the first person to swing went to jail and the person who was hit first could beat the other person up as it is considered self defense. (I don't know if this is true, because I was in high school then, and he was in college). He also says that he and his ex both took martial arts together and had formal knife fighting training, so he knew that under the right circumstances his ex could take him. I asked him would he have done it again...and he says..."if anyone pulls a knife on me, I'm gonna beat their azz...man, woman, or martian." I forgot to add that she called the police to the hospital, but they refused to take a report because she admitted to hitting him first and the would have been force to take HER to jail. I just asked my coworker about this law, and she said that it is true...in the late 80's and early 90's the first person to throw a punch was considered the aggressor, and the other person had a right to defend themeself before the OJ trial.
Answer: Ok this was only one time and it is good that he is being honest. First for the comment he made about would you do it again, I don't see a problem with that because if someone pulled a knife on me I would defend myself so I see nothing wrong with that. Second with the law it is true. Last month my mom she gets crazy at times anyway she threw a little wine rack at her man he tried to grab her and get her out of the house but because she had marks they took him to jail. This is a man who has never been in trouble with the law ever, he is well known in the community and in general a good person. The cop told my mom that they are way stricter with domestic violence laws now because of the O.J case so that is true. Now for the most important thing it does sound like he has a temper and the problem with that is he could have tried to restrain her instead of hitting her. Im gonna be honest with you right now. I have a happy marriage not perfect but we are doing as good as we can, but there was 1 time in the relationship were i was stupid I got way way drunk and for no reason I just got mean and i lashed put on my poor hubby i started swinging I know i sound crazy i just want to let you know i have never ever done anything like this again i just want to be able to give you an example anyway i started pushing him and being really stupid but he did not hit me instead he got hold of me and was able to restrain me until i was calm. He never punched me or hit me. So the problem im having with this is the fact that he instead of just getting away and calling the cops he lost his temper and punched her in the head. I really do not know what to tell you but im gonna say if this was a 1 time thing and he has never done it again and this was when he was young and he was honest with you I would give him a chance, but if he gets violent in any way get out. The reason i am telling you to give him a chance is because this only happened once if he was a women beater it would not only be a one time thing. Also he was young, and of course the fact that she was violent with him. This is not a case were she was just yelling at him and he beat the crap out of her she was attacking him and he defended himself. Im gonna say give the guy a chance this only happened once and he was so young give him a chance. If I thought he was really a man who abused women i would never tell you to give him a chance, but i really don't think he is/. He made a mistake he was honest and sorry and has never done anything like this again. I hope things work out for you 2 good luck.
