Better coach Mike Tomlin or Sean Payton?
Answer: Both are great coaches. Tomlin specializes in Defense while Payton specializes in Offense so they are pretty different. Both have won Super Bowls. But if you look at the past 5 years Sean Payton is 4-1 in the Post season while Tomlin is 3-1. Sean Payton's overall record is 42-27(1.55avg) while Tomlin is 34-18(1.88avg). So statistically Mike Tomlin is a better coach.

Answer: Brees was good with San Diego, and with the Saints he became great. Payton's offensive scheme is tailormade to Brees talents. Don't forget, the Saints were a destroyed and demoralized franchise right after Katrina (they went 3-13 the year before they came) and Sean Payton moved the pieces to make it a Super Bowl champion. Also, the Saints took a huge risk by investing $60 million in a player who underwent a complicated throwing shoulder surgery. Payton took the best of him.

Will the NFC South worst-to-first trend continue next season?
Every year except ONCE since the division was started the team who came in last has won the division the following year. (Including this years Saints). Do you see it happening again next year? This would mean the Buccaneers would have to win the division. And after the year the Saints have had, and Drew Brees and Sean Payton returning, along with Gary Crowton, I just see this team winning the division again. The Falcons and possibly Panthers (rookie QB) MIGHT challenge for the division title but I just don't see the Bucs doing it next year.
Answer: This year the cycle is broken. The Bucs haven't done anything to make them contenders for the division. The Saints will probably end up winning the division again.
