I was in a 15 year relationship that recently ended. I'm hurt. My self-esteem is in the toilet and I wish I knew how to raise myself up to feel better about myself and my life as it is today. I have never been married and I always wanted to be, so I'm doing alot of self-examination to try to figure out the reasons why. I'm a giver, perhaps to a fault. Some say that I shouldn't extend myself to the lengths that I do for my guy but I thought that kindheartedness was an asset not a detriment. I was very available and attentive to my guy's needs, some say I shouldn't have been. Some say that guys tend to run over women like this, but I thought that it was a good thing to be this way. I'm not combative, I don't like alot of drama. I'm not ugly or overweight, but not a beauty queen either. I only mention this because I know that men are very visual and I'm never sure what they are looking for in terms of looks, though I know this varies. I'm not prudish in the bedroom, I enjoy and crave intimacy. Maybe I was too boring? At any rate, I am in my mid forties and clearly I don't know what it takes to maintain a relationship so I've decided to not date again. I just want to find ways to be happily single. I am researching ways to take care of myself as I age from a health standpoint and as well as financially. I have learned in my lifetime that I am only able to depend on me, and am actually quite afraid to depend on a man. my name is yvette and i have two children from a previous marriage. i now have a boyfriend that lives with me and whom i love very much. the thing is that he is always complaining that i do not discipline my little baby the way i should. my baby is gonna be 2 years old this september 9th. he sais that i should hit her everytime she gets something that she aint supposed to be touching so that i could teach her to not get stuff that isnt hers. we just got in to a big argument about that because he is mad cuz she scratched his call of duty modern warfare disc. i will add that we are both 2 xbox 360 gameheads. i just feel that he has no right to hit her and he should put things where she cant reach them. that is what he would tell me when i complained that she got my stuff too. but anyways i fell like its too soon to hit her. am i right or what should be the right way to discipline a 2 year old?she's my baby and i love her and i just feel that he has no right to do it if it isn't me. i watched this movie in early 80's when i was little and loved it. i know it may look stupid now but it's one of those nostalgic things you want to watch again. its setting is traditional old time (as opposed to modern days). main charactor knows prayingmantis style and has a child friend(called something like "yong" to my memory). they are fighting against this town thug with eagle style kung fu. Toward the end, this thug kills the kid and the main guy goes crazy and kills everyone (like 30 peoples in that house) with prayingmantis style. really awesome kung fu movie if you are into kung fu movie. but, i can't find it. i hope someone can help.

My bedroom has been the same old colours for a long time now, and so I've decided to re-do all the walls, (I'm thinking paint instead of wallpaper) and re-colour the skirting boards etc. The carpet colour is creamish white, and the ceiling is white so the walls need to go with that. The furniture is a dark brown colour. I like wacky and weird schemes, which means my ideas always end up in bright orange walls with stylistic swirls and flowers on them, so I need some gorgeous ideas that wouldn't overpower the room so much. I love the "modern flower design" - Don't know what its called! Those stylistic large flowers, almost stencil like, and I like pretty much any colour (apart from bright green! >_<) I would like it to look modern and exciting, but not be far too overpowering for a bedroom - nothing boring please, I like my things to look just that little bit more awesome and different to the mainstream. What do you think I could do?

My parents have had their share of ups and downs within their marriage, but they always manage to keep a smile on their face, and would give/do anything in the world for those they love. My mom said they havent had sex in about 3 years. We've only (lightly & briefly) discussed intimacy with each other, b/c I have been married now for 7 years, so we're lightly warming up to that kind of talk. My mom HAS initiated sex...before..its just...my dad wouldnt be interested for whatever various reasons... for instance, the last time they had any alone time was when they stayed the night at a local casino in a beautiful location near a national park, and they were relaxing playing here and there, and my dad was just having fun with her and being there, and was drinking way too much by the end of the night...'sex' didnt happen.... My mom wants to be loved and wants sex. She is beautiful... and petite, I am jealous I didnt end up with her body!! haha jk I love myself, but she is VERY good looking, my dad is a fool. I think 20 years ago he cheated on her. So I do understand that they're together "For the kids" but come on, HEY, they're STILL ..TOGETHER...so she wants to give it a try....come on everyone deserves some good sex, especially when you're married to them right??? Ok...so I was telling her that she should get something ....'bad girl' inspired as far as lingerie goes...because my mom...is just a sweet girl at heart....VERY old fashioned (but cute and modern) just tender loving innocent... meanwhile...-----as for myself when im in bed with my husband...i'll be a FREAK....!!!! naughty naughty...thats just my style once in a while, I think its good to be a little of everything if you can.... SOOOOOOOOOO.....(((ALMOST DONE HERE))))) I think my mom should drop a few HINTS to my dad...whether its a note card...that says something sexy and slutty....what can I suggest for her to write??? SHE--NEEDS----HELP---BAD....The party is over at Midnight.....at they have a local hotel, which these locations are set up in beautiful areas. SO What kind of HINTS could she leave around Maybe at the reuinion she give him her tiny panties??? I need a few others...ESPECIALLY...on the NOTE CARD.../etc....any ideas welcome PLEASE!!!

Answer: she should not drop hints she is his wife she should tell him what she wants if it was me and i asked him and he wasn't interested we would have a talk and i wouldn't stop until he gave me some answers maybe there are some health things that are keeping him from being interested or it could be that he jest doesn't care if that is the case then your mother should tell your father that he is selfish ok here is another thing i would do if there were no health reason i would keep asking him to have sex and if he says no i would say what is her name and i would keep saying that it always seems to me that a man expect his wife to be ready when he is but if man doesn't want to he doesn't care how his wife feel women need to stand up and tell these men that it is not right and stop putting up with it

I'm trying to create my own style but I'm not sure how I can. I really like the style they had in the 70's and 80's but I want to give it a modern look. I also love music and can't live without it. Can anyone help me on how to create my own personal style?

Answer: BOLD COLORS :) Ripped jeans, Doc Martens, leather jackets, oversized tees & racer back tanks, animal prints, insane haircuts, bright accessories. Hahah, I can go on & on but this is all I can think of :P
