If you want to overthrow the Marxists, Commies and Socialists, start with yourself first?
I am for LIBERTY! Are you? Really? Are you willing to forgo unemployment 'benefits', SSI payments, WIC and food stamps, excessive pensions for a retired public employees if you are one? Are you willing to walk off your Federal Job? Or state job -- if that is one created or funded by Federal mandate? Are you willing to quit your University job, since most of those are funded, albeit through middle-men -- by Federal grants, loans, mandates and other subsidies? Are you willing to forgo Medicare or Medicaid, or union or corporation funded planes with tiny-co-pays and buy your own healthcare? Do you work for a company that's biggest clients are the Federal Government, or ones in existence only due to Federal mandates or Federal Grants (hello to those who work at the empty concourses of the late John Murtha's airport) ? Are you willing to walk of that job now? Just how committed to Liberty are you? I apologize for some spelling errors. I guess this is an emotional subject for me.
Answer: I can certainly do all that. Most of the things you listed either should not exist in the first place or are better funded and managed by private charities... Sign me up.
A top Democrat fundraiser just got 12 years in prison for bank fraud. Is this change we can believe in?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100715/ap_on_bi_ge/us_investment_banker_fraud_1 Tony Rezko Blago Eliot Spitzer Al Franken Sandy Berger Chris Dodd Eric Massa John Edwards Al Gore John Murtha David Paterson Jesse Jackson Jr. Ben Nelson And now this guy, Hassan Nemazee... the latest Democrat in a long line of corrupt liberals. What a legacy. Change we can believe in! "Al Franken, what did he do?" Widespread voter fraud. Of course if you only listen to the MSM you wouldn't hear about it. "I can make a bigger Republican list based soley on adultery than your list, as for this guy all I can say is 'who'?" Make your list and then we will compare.
Answer: Politicians seem to attract crooks and all kinds of creeps who gravitate towards power. And from both parties. Especially career politicians. There really should be a limit to how long they can serve.
Was Democrat John Murtha guilty of treason in 2006 when he accused several Marines of murder in Haditha, Iraq?
Answer: Hell yes, and then Obama tried to buy of his seat later. Murtha was also 'The King Of All Pork'. Term limits, please!
Was the GOP's $1 million investment in the Republican candidate to win John Murtha's seat well spent?
against a non-incumbent Democrat....how do they feel about that this morning? Texas Libertarian....that overwhelmingly liberal district voted for John McCain in 2008.....does that make sense to you? so Texas Libertarian, that must mean if John McCain is the preferred choice of liberals, that Obama is conservative, that was the alternative, you recall. you're really way off base there.....
Answer: It doesn't mean anything. The results were skewed by interest in the democrat senate primary which increased democrat turnout while the Republican senate primary was a shoo in. Yesterday's result will have no bearing on the race in November.
Why did republicans not pick up an extremely winnable seat in Congress yesterday?
John Murtha's Pennsylvania seat, held by Democrats, was up for grabs. There was no incumbent advantage. The district voted for John McCain in 2008 for President. Obama is unpopular there. Seems like a formula for an easy Republican win, or at the very least a win. One of the intellectual Republicans, Newt Gingrich has said he expects up to 70 Congressional seats currently held by Democrats to be taken by Republicans in 2010. So how come this one wasn't taken? Could it be that many Republican's overconfidence in taking back Congress is just plain bluster, with no substance? no vinny, my uneducated friend, it was a special ELECTION NOT A PRIMARY
Answer: because people still remember republican failures of enormous magnitudes
Is this the first of many defeats for the GOP in Nov.?
In a fourth race with national implications, Democrat Mark Critz moved ahead of Republican Tim Burns in a contest to fill out the final few months in the term of the late Rep. John Murtha in Pennsylvania.
Answer: MSNBC reports the Republicans have now lost seven straight special House elections. As the economy improves so do the Democratic chances in November. Not a very good night for Meathead Mitch and Yahoo conservative ranters.
Can I vote to fill John Murtha's Seat?
John Murtha's seat was in (I believe) Johnstown, PA. I live in Pittsburgh (in a different county). Can I vote for the man who is going to fill his seat? Please answer quickly, because I am going to vote soon. Thanks!
Answer: I really, really wish you could! Do you still have time to register in his District? There's got to be at least one park bench you could use as your legal residence. Think really hard about moving before November if it is too late for the primaries.
Will the special election for Murtha's old Pennsylvania seat be the next GOP Congressional pickup?
A new poll has businessman Tim Burns (R) leading former Murtha aide Mark Critz (D) 46-40. Republicans appear to have a real opportunity to take over the seat of the late Rep. John Murtha's (D-Pa.), as another poll shows their candidate in the lead. The Research 2000 poll for the liberal website Daily Kos has businessman Tim Burns (R) leading former Murtha aide Mark Critz 46-40. It's the biggest lead yet for Burns, who edged Critz 44-41 in a recent Public Policy Polling (D) survey. The newer poll backs up several key data points from the PPP poll, particularly how unpopular President Obama is in the district. R2000 has Obama's favorable rating at just 38 percent, with 55 percent unfavorable. And Obama isn't just unpopular: Among those 55 percent, more than half say their opinion of the president is "very unfavorable." http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/polls/95337-special-election-for-murthas-seat-tilting-toward-gop
Answer: I am a conservative in SW PA. I have been trying for years to get Murtha ousted. The voters in that district have been mindless over the years. If they choose Burns over Critz, I will probably faint. Democrats are running nasty ads against Burns. He does not seem to be challenging their BS. No one likes negative ads. Unfortunately they do seem to work.
